Charles H. Teller


CHARLES HEINROTH TELLER of Rockville, MD. Formerly of West Hartford, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the age of 73. He was born to the late Jacob and Charlotte (Rosenstein) Teller both formerly of West Hartford. He graduated from Hall High class of '59 where he excelled in scholastic and sports.

From there he attended Brandeis University class of '63. After graduation he went into the Peace Corp where he worked in Bolivia.

When he returned he continued his studies at Clark University and Cornell where he received his PhD in Sociology-Demography. His work in the public health sector spanned over 50 countries with over 100 publications in his field. He was also a champion tennis player earning many trophies throughout his life including a regional doubles championship in 2013.

He was the beloved husband of Patricia Cruz Teller; loving father of Benjamin (Liz) Teller and Tanya Cruz Teller; dear brother of Maxine Teller Adams; cherished grandfather of Cruz and August Teller. He was also predeceased by his first wife Barbara Krieger Teller.
