Mary Wohn Hennessey Obituary

HENNESSEY WOHN, Mary of Hull, died October 24, 2014. Mary attended St. Bernards High School in Fitchburg and went on to receive a bachelor's degree at Fitchburg State College and a master's degree at Boston College. She spent 2 years in the Peace Corps in Arequipa, Peru where she met her husband Jakob. She went on to be a member of the board at Pine Street Inn and volunteered there for many years.

Later in life, Mary was a professor at UMass and was a nurse at Boston City Hospital. She loved the beach and everyone that knew her will remember her generous and kind nature. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. Beloved wife of Jakob Wohn of Hull. Loving sister of John Neil Hennessey of Fitchburg and predeceased by 2 brothers.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 9:30-10:30 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Parish in St. Ann's Church, Hull at 11 AM.

Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to Pine Street Inn, Development Office 444 Harrison Avenue Boston, MA 02118, .
