Frank was a rural community development Peace Corps Volunteer, operating a Maryknoll Fathers' experimental farm near Puno, Peru. After Peace Corps service, he trained agriculture trainees headed for Peace Corps service in Central and South America. He also was a member of Peace Corps/Nicaragua's technical staff where he worked with agricultural co-ops. He has owned and/or managed agricultural businesses and was a financial planner and insurance salesman. As an outgrowth of a 2 month stint as a post-Katrina Crisis Corps volunteer last year, he is now working in Texas for the Small Business Administration, processing loans for disaster recipients. Earlier this year, Franklin managed balloting for Amigos membership-wide Board elections. Franklin's son is an RPCV (Dominican Republic). |
