As a Peace Corps Volunteer in Arequipa, Peru from 1964 - 1966, Gayle Hartmann was assigned to a number of different Community Development projects, including working in a men's prison and working in different medical clinics. She also taught courses in anthropology at a local university. As the Publications Coordinator, Gayle is responsible for assuring that all Amigos publications adhere to the organizations by-laws. Gayle currently lives in Tucson, Arizona and is an Editor and Anthropologist.
